My Story
Photography has always been my way of capturing emotions and telling stories. My journey began with a Polaroid Land Camera, sparking a lifelong passion for preserving life’s meaningful moments.
Although I am mostly self-taught, I immersed myself in the craft from the very beginning. I studied film development and print manipulation at the Visual Arts Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. Soon afterward, I built a fully functional darkroom in my home, where I developed negatives and created prints for clients and local art exhibitions.
As digital photography emerged, I embraced the change. I mastered Photoshop and digital image editing while continuing to refine my storytelling approach. Because photography constantly evolves, I believe it’s important to keep learning and growing as an artist.
Building Experience Behind the Camera
Over the years, I specialized in portrait, sports, and group photography. Those experiences taught me how to connect with people quickly, work confidently in changing conditions, and capture genuine emotions as they naturally unfold.
Eventually, those skills led me to wedding photography. Today, they help me create authentic, timeless images that reflect each couple’s unique love story.
My Approach to Wedding Photography
As a Virginia wedding photographer, I focus on much more than documenting events. Instead, I look for the meaningful moments that often go unnoticed; the quiet glances, heartfelt embraces, joyful laughter, and genuine connections shared throughout the day.
